About The Project: John Holland has been selected as GoldlinQ's design and construction partner for GCLR3, a project to lengthen the current light rail network by 6.7kms from Broadbeach to Burleigh Heads. This expansion includes the construction of eight new light rail stations, two light rail-bus connections, and upgrades to intersections along the route.
Your Role: The John Holland Gold Coast Light Rail project is currently seeking a Project Engineer to join the Rail Corridor team stationed in Broadbeach. Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing on-site construction engineering tasks to meet project deadlines and budget objectives. Your main duties involve:
- Managing the civil construction scope of projects to ensure timely, budget-friendly, and high-quality delivery.
- Offering technical advice to the project team to guarantee compliance with construction standards and specifications.
- Directing and coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and other involved parties to align construction plans and goals.
- Keeping project documentation up to date, including quality records, progress updates, risk assessments, and plans.
- Providing management with reports on project progress and status.
About You: A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, coupled with 3-4 years of construction experience encompassing general Civil works. Proficiency in civil construction regulations, codes, and standards. Previous experience in scoping, tendering, engaging, and managing civil subcontractors.
