    About the Role
Ventia is currently seeking a
Plant Equipment Trainer to support their Defence & Social Infrastructure (D&SI) business.


Reporting to the Integrated Logistics Support Manager, the
Plant Equipment Trainer will be responsible for the delivery of plant training to defence operators across the Australian states.

This role is working from home and required travel to other states for delivery as required.


This is a permanent full-time position and the successful applicant will be working from home and required to frequently travel to
Melbourne,
Sydney or
Brisbane and other states when required for the delivery of training.


Responsibilities of the
Plant Equipment Trainer:

  • Provide training on front end loaders, back hoes, skid Steer, fork lifts, cranes and other heavy vehicle equipment
  • Assisting in the development of Elearning programs within Campus / Articulate
  • Develop and maintain Learning Management Plans
  • Development and maintaining of training materials
  • Adhering to training compliance standards You may also be required to conduct Site inspections, maintain and suggest improvements for SWMS, Risk assessments and any compliance around safety
    About You

To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled in the delivery of plant equipment training and ideally have a qualification or working towards a qualification in training or similar.


  • Ideally 2+ years' experience in plant operation
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal skills
  • Ability to effectively supervise trainees and give guidance
  • Possess minimum relevant tickets/licences
  • Strong Focus on Safety
  • Ability to effectively supervise trainees and give guidance

Desirable

  • Defence background (preferably in Plant Operation)
  • Cert IV Train the Trainer
  • Training Material development
  • HR licence
The successful applicant will need to be an Australian Citizen and be available for frequent travel when required.
