  • Jul 03, 2023Tradewind is currently working with a growing P-9 College in Truganina, looking for a grade 2, 3 and 5 teacher to join the current cohort of straight grade classes to begin immediately. These are full time roles with ongoing opportunities in 2024.


The successful applicants will possess the relevant qualifications for the position and be currently registered or in the process of obtaining registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.

The School:


Located in the growth corridor of Truganina, the school which opened in 2015, caters to students from F to Year 9.

The college aims to meet the educational and personal needs of each student by fostering a stimulating learning environments with an individualized approach and promoting positive relationships, security and a sense of belonging.


  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaboratively plan and evaluate the curriculum to achieve specific outcomes.
  • Provide consistent and coherent learning programs that will foster independence, challenge, and learning progression.
  • Maintain positive, professional, and supportive interactions with parents, staff, and the wider College community.
  • Work as a cooperative member of the collaborative yearlevel team, ensuring harmonious relationships

Key Qualities:

  • Experience in Primary teaching advantageous but not essential
  • Plan, prepare, and teach programs to achieve specific student outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to engage in critical reflection and inquiry in order to improve knowledge and skills to effectively engage students and improve their learning.
  • Detailed knowledge of the Australian Curriculum as relevant to the position.
  • A passion for engaging every student and demonstrated ability to bring out the best in them.
  • Demonstrated expertise in teaching at relevant levels.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Education or equivalent
  • For Permission to Teach, current enrollment in a BA of Education either in 3rd or 4th year
  • Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration
  • Full Australian working rights
