The Opportunity

A rare opening has emerged for a SAP Team Lead - Basis at our Macquarie Park, Sydney office.

The Purpose of this role:

  • Offer SAP basis support for Goodman Fielder and Wilmar Sugar business units to ensure smooth operation of daily business applications
  • Maintain relationships with internal and external parties for optimal outcomes in a timely manner
  • Supervise the deliverables of the SAP Security Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure proper management and upkeep of the SAP infrastructure with regular interaction with the SAP HEC technical team
  • Oversee offshore basis team tasks to ensure timely completion
  • Support new technology implementations and conduct regular system checks to minimize business downtime
  • Supervise the regular patching of SAP servers with SAP, including up to 8 times a year outside business hours
  • Provide timely assistance on any P1 or P2 tickets and offer SAP basis on-call support
  • Guide key projects in basis and security matters
  • Ensure effective performance of the SAP security consultant. Provide training and mentorship
  • Offer DBA support (Oracle, MSSQL, HANA)
  • Provide 3rd party software support (IXOS, ActiveBatch, Gimmal)

What you will do:

  • Collaborate with the business to develop small-scale business process improvements and IT solutions for enhanced productivity and effectiveness
  • Provide BAU support and cultivate relationships within the business

What you need:

  • Proven SAP experience including ECC, BW, BPC, and Business Object
  • Work experience in Support and Project Team settings
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with key stakeholders
  • Experience in a brown field upgrade to S4 highly desirable
  • Hands-on configuration expertise with a focus on solutions and problem-solving
  • Authorized to work in Australia
