In this role, you'll:

Develop data models and data solutions for business research, analysis, reporting, and implementation, to support the development and delivery of business, in line with established operational plans.

Build and deploy data management and business intelligence systems, enabling stakeholders to manage the business and make effective decisions. You'll also create large scale data structures and pipelines to standardise data to generate insights and address business reporting needs.

Build secure, scalable, and cost-effective data solutions using data storage technologies, distributed file system, data processing, and business intelligence best practices to ensure that all proposal solutions are aligned to strategic drivers and meet business requirements.

Collaborate with the IT Architecture and Digital teams to develop a practical end state and reference architectures and work with the Data Science team to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into automated processes to deliver consistent high quality data services.

Fixed Term Full-Time role until mid-February 2025 | Flexible Hybrid work – Parramatta home office base, mix of in-person days with WFH.

  • 5 years+ experience in data modelling and management, database design, SQL implementation, requirement analysis, database system integration, data reviews and enhancements, technical documentation.
  • Practical experience of large enterprise relational database management systems comprising of traditional databases (MS SQL Server, Oracle) and cloud based platforms and solutions within AWS.
  • Strong experience in conceptual, logical (Entity Relationship) and physical data modelling. (Dimensional models)
  • Strong experience in data models reviews, with both IT and business audiences to ensure the model meets requirements.
  • Strong metadata management (technical and business), incorporating metadata practices into all modelling activities.
  • Strong experience in analysis of source system including database structures, semi-structured and unstructured data stores.
  • Strong experience in mapping of source data elements to target models.
  • Strong experience in data discovery, profiling and data quality assessment.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills with the ability to influence and quickly build relationships.
  • Strong skills in understanding and translating business needs into data models supporting long-term solutions.
