Are you looking for an opportunity to be part of an innovative Council seeking to make a positive difference in the community you support? We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Library Officer to join our team.


Located on the lower North Shore, Council's new library branch is due to open in March/April 2023 in the vibrant St Leonards precinct.

About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Librarian/Shift Leader you will be responsible for contributing to the provision of direct quality customer service in the St Leonards Library and other branches as required, and to deliver literacy programs to young persons, and contribute to digital programming

  • A Diploma of Library/Information Services providing eligibility for Library Technician accredited membership of ALIA, or equivalent Library qualification;
  • Demonstrated Information retrieval skills, including the reference interview;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of reference tools and relevant digital technologies e.g. online databases, eResources, etc.; and
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as required
