Reporting directly to the Australian head of Operations, your new opportunity as the
Subcontracts & Procurement Specialist is key stakeholder internal, supplier and client-facing position.

This position represents a development opportunity to provide strategic vision, leadership, and guidance across our subcontracts and procurement function within specific defence Programs whilst maintaining and executing consistent compliance across the organisation.


With extensive supply chain experience, you demonstrate accountability and focus, bringing a team oriented and highly collaborate approach to stakeholder engagement and governance requirements.


Enabling you to build your career with a global leader, key responsibilities will include**:

  • Guiding the subcontracting effort to establish overall subcontract plans, proposal review criteria, analysis and evaluation of proposals, as well as leading supplier negotiations.
  • Employ business acumen and experience to provide market knowledge, supply chain solutions and proactive support.
  • Executing programs with significant subcontract content; as well as, risk management of subcontractors.
  • Accountability for the total performance management of suppliers, including cost, quality and performance.
  • Lead and conduct internal and external cadence reviews with key stakeholder groups.

Skills and experience to enable success:

  • Qualifications in Supply Chain environment or proven background and experience managing Subcontractors; delivering results in supply chain/procurement environments.
  • High degree of competency in supply chain related systems ERP, CRM); preferably SAP and Ariba.
  • Selfmotivated, proactive, meets goals and objectives on time to requirements; taking accountability.
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written and influencing, coupled with the ability to present professionally to various stakeholder groups directly or in virtual meeting forums.
