The ICT Business Partner is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of cost effective, user friendly and secure ICT services.


Responsibilities and accountabilities:
Develop and implement the ICT Strategy and roadmap in alignment with City of Prospect strategic priorities.
Lead an effective team of ICT staff and contractors promoting continuous improvement in service delivery.
Provide expert ICT advice to the leadership staff to support achievement of Council strategic plans and objectives.

Manage ICT governance (policies and committees) to support investment in and adoption of ICT systems and software and to promote a culture of efficient use of technology.

Ensure the availability, reliability and security of Council ICT systems (Server, Data and Network infrastructure, hardware, software, other core systems).Monitor and review the effectiveness of ICT systems and make recommendations for improved utilisation of existing systems and implementation of new systems to enhance service delivery.

Manage priority setting and workload for ICT staff and service providers to ensure effective risk management and quality service delivery.

Manage relationships with and delivery by external ICT contractors, suppliers, and service providers.
Oversee planning, execution, and completion of IT projects within budget and timelines.
Implement activities to promote ICT literacy and system specific competencies within the Council.
Prepare and manage the ICT annual budget ensuring cost effective solutions and efficient use of resources.

To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in Information Technology or other related field and/or have extensive relevant experience.

Your demonstrated experience must include systems management and solutions to meet business needs, you will have capacity to manage a small but busy team focused on the provision of quality service delivery, with the assistance of the Managed Service Provider.

You will have a comprehensive knowledge of current digital technology and trends including software development lifecycle and have well developed project management, organisational, and time management skills.

Your ability to influence key stakeholders and partner and effectively communicate with all staff with varying degrees of technical knowledge will ensure success in this key role.
