In partnership with Land and Housing Corporation, we are seeking a
Health and Safety Manager to join the Ventia LAHC team in a full-time permanent capacity.

About the Role:

You will promote a strong and positive approach to the safety, health, environment, and quality functions within the business, as well as:

  • Manage the implementation of Safety Management Plans across the project.
  • Undertake, or lead, investigations in relation to safety related incidents or issues and provide recommendations through the contract leadership team.
  • Implementing processes to ensure communication and compliance with all SHEQ policies and procedures including fostering a culture of 'safety and health above all else'.
  • Ensuring risk assessments and risk registers are developed and maintained and all records are managed in accordance with Company requirements.
  • Utilise data to enable informed decisions to be made in relation to asset disposal, renewal, and planned maintenance programs.

About you:

  • Tertiary Qualification in Workplace / Occupation Health and Safety, Environmental or Quality Equivalent.
  • Lead Auditor Qualifications or sound experience in managing safety audit programs to ensure effective system compliance.
  • Detailed knowledge of SHEQ legislation, regulatory requirements and ISO standards within a utility or infrastructure project environment.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategies to ensure compliance, minimise risk and drive continuous improvement.

Managing NSW Land and Housing Corporation assets, we care for some of Australia's most vulnerable citizens.

Our work involves maintenance services (planned and reactive) and emergency call out, using our Sydney-based National Call Centre which takes calls directly from residents and actions them right through the process.
