Permanent part time opportunity to provide high quality, culturally safe and evidence-based gynaecology clinical management, treatment and care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women accessing the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital's Women's Business Shared Pathway (WBSP).
- Provide high quality, culturally safe and evidence-based gynaecology clinical management, treatment and care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women accessing the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital's Women's Business Shared Pathway (WBSP).
- Work within the multidisciplinary team to deliver gynaecology services across several outreach locations and within the Women's and Newborn Services at the RBWH.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Actively support and implement evidence-based and culturally safe gynaecology care within the scope of practice granted by RBWH.
- Take clinical responsibility for the medical and surgical care of allocated patients referred through the Women's Business Shared Pathway including:
- Provision of outpatient clinical services at outreach locations including Nundah Community Health Centre, Pine Rivers Community Health Centre and Moreton Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service's Morayfield and Deception Bay clinics
- Provision of surgical and inpatient services at the RBWH
- Demonstrate a high level of knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, protocols and history including a comprehensive knowledge of issues and priorities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women's health and wellbeing.

It is expected that all Metro North Health staff, including the incumbent of this role as a valuable member of the Metro North workforce, contribute to the health equity agenda and meet the intent of supporting the defined six actions that specifically meet the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHS), by actively supporting the elimination of racial discrimination and institutional racism; supporting increased access to health care; influencing the social, cultural and economic determinants of health; supporting the delivery of sustainable, culturally safe and responsive health services; and recognise the importance of working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities and organisations to design, deliver, monitor and review the health and support services we provide.
