About the Role


Based in the Santos Brisbane office, the primary focus of this role is to plan and execute all activities involved in the procurement and supply of materials and transactional level services into the organisation.

This role is supporting Santos purchase & supply chain operations for supply to PNG from Australian based vendors.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Support the delivery of strategic supply chain solutions in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Review potential vendors, coordinate tenders and negotiate materials and services Pricing Agreements.
  • Facilitate supply planning meetings with stakeholder groups to ensure supply chain constraints are identified and rectified prior to works commencement
  • Lead rectification initiatives for relevant Supply Chain Issues & Failures/ Safety Incidents.
  • Ensure key supply chain performance metrics are obtained
  • Coordinate supply chains to ensure optimisation of cost (repair/buy new) and service
  • Lead or Support procurement/supply chain improvements, in consultation with crossbusiness technical stakeholders, focused on cost, delivery and quality improvements.

About You
Your advanced data management skills and your ability to plan, prioritise, and execute tasks with precision will be essential, along with:

  • 1-3 years' experience in a Supply Chain role (scheduling, planning, contracts, purchasing, logistics), preferably with experience using SAP
  • Ability to build and manage relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external, including our PNG operations is a critical aspect of this role. Your adeptness in communication will enable effective coordination and project success
  • Teamwork and collaboration are at the heart of our operations. Your willingness to actively contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture is essential
  • Commitment to safety; your dedication to maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues will be integral to our success
  • Experience in the oil & gas or construction/utilities industry will be highly desired
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (e.g. Business, Commerce, IS, Engineering, Supply Chain etc.) will be highly regarded as will exposure to lean manufacturing and six sigma
  • Prior experience working with stakeholders in PNG would be valuable
