Who are we looking for?


We're looking for a
multiple Ecologists at varying levels of experience to join our
NSW Natural Resources & Agriculture team , with the flexibility to be working from one of our many offices throughout the NSW region.

Opportunities also exist for ecologists in other states who have NSW experience.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Biodiversity impact assessment and offsetting for high profile major projects and preparation of Biodiversity Stewardship Agreements.
  • Provision of advice and direction regarding relevant regulatory frameworks and project approval pathways.
  • Leading, or assisting, with the delivery of proposals and technical reports for clients.
  • Delivering projects on time and within budget and to required quality standards.
  • Maintaining relationships with clients and regulatory agencies.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Experience in biodiversity impact assessment and offsetting
  • Demonstrated skills in the development and delivery of effective ecological assessment, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
  • Experience in botanical survey and vegetation management, fauna survey and monitoring, or a combination of both
  • Knowledge of NSW and Commonwealth regulatory frameworks and policy, with respect to listed threatened matters, biodiversity assessment, offsetting, and management.
  • Knowledge of ecological communities across various NSW environments
  • Collaborative approach to delivering projects.
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal skills
- a team-player who builds rapport with internal & external stakeholders.

  • Tertiary qualifications in botany, zoology, ecology, or related discipline
