Role description:


Our National Ecology team is seeking a consultant level Ecologist to join their ranks and deliver a range of ecological assessments and projects along the east coast.

Join a high performing team, that put quality and culture at the forefront, working on both specialist ecology and major infrastructure projects in NSW, Qld and Vic.


Role accountabilities:

  • Providing technical ecological advice and report deliverables on a range of complex projects;
  • Field based data collection, surveys and mapping including threatened species surveys and PCT identification;
  • Working collaboratively and guiding projects using your technical expertise, as a part of a multidisciplinary team;
  • Proposal preparation and project management; and
  • Using your networks to identify opportunities and grow business.

Qualifications & Experience:

First and foremost, you share our passion for improving the quality of life. You are an enthusiastic Ecologist who has the ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams as well as autonomously.

You'll come to us with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in ecology or other relevant degree;
  • Previous experience in environmental consultancy and wellnetworked in industry;
  • A genuine curiosity and appreciation for the world around you and the work you do;
  • An enthusiasm to contribute to knowledge sharing within the existing team, both to more and less experienced ecologists;
  • Knowledge of, and experience in, flora identification and assessment, in NSW including BAM;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Extensive relevant postgraduate experience, including report delivery and project management; and
  • Strong client focus and a knack for building and maintaining credible working relationships.
