About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager / Lead to join our team in Murraire, Australia. In this role, you will lead the engineering department, making critical decisions related to budget allocation, capital planning, process optimization, energy management, and maintenance delivery. Additionally, occasional travel might be required to support group initiatives and other Kerry sites as needed.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure implementation of Kerry QSHE policies and standards
- Adhere to engineering statutory requirements and Kerry procedures
- Operate equipment safely and maintain processes within design limits
- Oversee site engineering activities and maintenance programs
- Develop and manage site engineering budget
- Identify critical plant systems and adjust engineering strategies accordingly
- Implement spare parts holding policy and monitor KPI targets
- Update engineering standards and lead troubleshooting and optimization efforts
- Stay abreast of industry trends and deploy innovative technologies
- Recruit, onboard, and develop diverse talent to meet business needs
- Align career development goals with organizational objectives and deliver technical training
- Drive team engagement, vision, and purpose to motivate action
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a large-scale process industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership abilities and practical engineering application
- Experience in team leadership, business collaboration, and manufacturing acumen
Technical Skills:
- Recent advancements in food-related automation and process control
- Asset care techniques, energy management, and process engineering
- Project management, procurement, and regulatory compliance knowledge
- Industrial services/utilities experience including water treatment and refrigeration systems
Interpersonal/Behavioral Qualifications:
- Effective team building and leadership
- Negotiation skills, change management, and organizational proficiency
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to coach, develop, and empower others
