About us:
Queensland Pathways State College (QPSC) offers a 12-month senior transitions program to vulnerable students that are still wanting to complete their senior studies, however, have found it difficult to succeed at this in mainstream schooling.
We actively identify, develop and facilitate clear pathways to post-school education, training or employment, while focusing on student-centred learning, student wellbeing, vocational development and community partnerships.
By developing a safe and supportive environment, these students are able to achieve their goals and positively move onto pathways in further learning (TAFE or university) or employment.
Role:
Responsibilities include**:
- Assisting in the supervision of education activities, under the direction of a teacher.
- Assisting in preparing, storing, making available and clearing away teaching equipment and materials.
- Assisting teaching staff with playground supervision.
- Supporting students in class with their literacy and numeracy
- Additional administration work as required for the Head of Department.
- Displaying confidentiality, tact, reliability and sensitively to students and their families.
