About The Role:

This hands-on, fast-paced role is suited for individuals who thrive across the spectrum of design, fabrication, and field test work, seeing designs implemented in working prototypes and leading to products in the hands of specialized customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop electronics systems, including circuit design, layout, PCB fabrication, cabling, power system design, and electro-sensor integration.

Collaborate closely with firmware and mechanical teams on new systems.

Manage the full cycle of scoping, development, field testing, and implementation stages.

Candidate Requirements:

Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering with outstanding academic results.

Ideally 5+ years of experience in a design role focused on digital electronics, but outstanding candidates with less experience will be considered.

Experience with a broad range of electronic design for low-powered sensors and camera systems.

Proficiency with Altium Designer software suite.

Strong understanding of common electronics manufacturing processes and techniques.

Cable design and fabrication experience.

Ability to create various engineering documents, including design specifications, design notes, and test reports.

Highly capable communicator, both written and verbal.

Flexible and adaptive nature.

Ability to pass technical screening tests as part of the review and selection process.

Ability to meet the requirements for a Baseline security clearance.

Experience developing Defence and/or mining technology systems.

Experience with IoT and low-power RF systems.

Defence experience.
