We have established the Hero Foundation, a philanthropic venture funded by our CEO.The Foundation funds 1 Million Heroes, bridging the gap between those in difficult and underprivileged circumstances and high-quality employment opportunities.
We know that finding and sustaining employment can be challenging for some people; we want employment to be easier and more valuable for everyone.
The job of the GM is simple.They have a BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) to successfully place 1 Million qualifying Heroes in global employment opportunities by 2033.
The successful candidate will deliver an outsized global impact through 1Million Heroes:
provide one of the most high impact opportunities, employment, to one million peopleincreasing the availability of talent globally, including to our 300,000 businessesincrease national productivity and reduce unemployment rates Background to the GM role We have completed a Feasibility Report on our mission to use our technology to connect people in challenging circumstances to employment opportunities.
Our report demonstrated there is strong market demand for our product to bridge the gap between those in difficult and underprivileged circumstances and high quality employment.
The successful General Manager candidate will be obsessed with achieving maximum impact and delivering our Foundation BHAG.You'll be a passionate problem solver with the determination to extend employment opportunities to everyone.
You will have past experience delivering outcomes beyond the mean and a track record of exceptionalism.
Entrepreneurs, product or portfolio leaders are strongly encouraged to apply, but the most important thing is a track record of solving hard problems and exceptional outcomes.
Responsibilities Establishing the Foundation within Employment Hero, including Working with our CEO to define criteria for qualifying heroes Sourcing qualifying heroes (likely to include relying on partner relationships in the first 12 months to source heroes with the right skills for our employer base)Increasing adoption by employer businesses (likely to include supporting materials that our employers can use to successfully employ qualifying heroes)Developing internal Employment Hero relationships and working practices to enable the Foundation to achieve its goals, this will include working closely with our Product, Engineering, Customer Experience and Marketing teams Results based leadership Develop the culture of the team to ensure high performance Deliver maximum impact as rapidly as possible i.e.
by placing qualifying heroes in employment opportunities and will work towards a path to 1 Million placements by 2033 Collaborate regularly with Employment Hero's Leadership Team on the most effective ways for managing remote, online employment in order that the Employment Hero product is continually improved.
