**About this role:
- **This role is a Functional Analyst role and is a pivotal role within the Human Resources Solutions Team. The Functional Analyst, HR Solutions, will partner with HR customers within the University to ensure UNSW's HR enterprise systems remain robust, accurate and functionally effective and are well maintained and appropriately configured in line with user needs. This role will deliver the business analysis, functional consulting, functional design, configuration development and operational support, related to implementation, support and enhancement of UNSW HR systems.

**Some of the key accountabilities:
- *
  • Focus on and drive process improvements, identify innovative new ways of using or enhancing systems to ensure all systems are being fully leveraged by the University.
  • Partner with customers and stakeholders to design and develop solutions to meet business needs
and objectives.

  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level of support to the PiMs (People Information Management System) and other HR systems as required.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers to support projects including managing scope, impact assessments, risk analysis, testing and coordinating with stakeholders.
  • Perform and participate in system, integration, penetration and performance testing, planning of user acceptance testing, and signoff.
  • Assist with the configuration of the system to ensure it operates in line with user needs, maximises PeopleSoft and other products' delivered functionality
  • Liaise with business customers, technical analysts, IT developers and other stakeholders for the development and implementation of HR system changes.
  • Identify opportunities for improving business processes through efficient and effective use of HR systems technologies in collaboration with users and other customers to gather business requirements, assess business processes, and assist with the design of solutions which effectively deliver desired outcomes.
  • Assist with analysis and developing guidelines for regular patch releases, new processes or functionality to ensure customers understand how to best utilise UNSW's HR systems.
  • Investigate production problems as required, including specifying solutions and overseeing resolution of such technical issues including system testing and solutions.
**Skills and Experience:
- *
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience including demonstrated experience within IT.
  • Highlevel knowledge and competency in the use of professional business analysis techniques and methods (eg Use Case Analysis, UML).
  • Welldeveloped skills in the use of standard office toolsets including the MS Office suite, drawing/diagramming tools (eg Visio) and project management tools (eg MS Project).
  • Demonstrated analytical and problemsolving skills, with proven interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrable ability
to establish good strong relationships with fellow IT colleagues, the business and other stakeholders.
