The role:


The IELTS
Test Centre Operations Assistant Manager is accountable for supporting the Test Centre Operations Team in achieving their mission to support, guide and improve global operational delivery systems, processes, and policies.

This includes working closely with the Test Centre Operations Manager and Regional IELTS Managers, as well as supporting the day-to-day operations of the Support India-based Hubs to ensure that tasks are completed in an efficient and effective manner.


The postholder will play a critical role in streamlining processes, identifying areas for continuous improvement, implementing innovative solutions to complex problems, and deputizing on behalf of the Test Centre Operations Manager as necessary, while also accepting all tasks delegated by the Test Centre Operations Manager from time to time.

A critical position within the Test Centre Operations Team to make a significant contribution to the success of the team and the wider business.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

  • Collaborating with the Test Centre Operations Manager to develop and implement efficient and effective operational procedures.
  • Handle and resolve enquiries that have been elevated.
  • Identifying areas for continuous improvement and making recommendations for process enhancements.
  • Providing timely and accurate reporting to the Test Centre Operations Manager and other stakeholders as required.
  • Working closely with Managers of IDP Support Hubs situated in distant locations to ensure that all tasks are completed to the required standard and within the designated timeframe.
  • Create a set of work clear, concise, and easy to follow instructions for the support hub to effectively carry out their daily activities.
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders, including Regional Managers, Examiner Management team, Business Assurance team, and Cross partner IELTS working groups.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong background in Operation Management
  • Experience working in complex, fastpaced environments.
  • Able to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Advanced skills in English writing and editing.
  • Exceptional communication and organisational skills.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Detailoriented and capable of managing time effectively.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively in a crossfunctional team setting.
  • Strong critical thinking and problemsolving abilities.

GOOD TO HAVE

  • Knowledge of the IELTS test and its delivery.
