Direct Care Assistance (DCA), a leading NDIS service provider, is currently seeking a Disability Support Worker to provide exceptional care services to a complex client based in
Cranbourne and support our client with various needs.
As a Support Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life and well-being of our client.
Shifts:24/7 shift (regular on going/sleepover shift & community access)
- 7am3pm
- 3pm10pm
- 10pm7am
Start Date:29th of February
Person Specification for Support Worker:
- Must have a car and valid driver's license.
- Must have at least 12 year experience in handling client's w/ different disabilities
- Must have experience in administering medication & using hoist
- Highly trained in Spinal-Injury
- Knowledgeable in Suprapubic Catheter
- Has excellent communication skills
What You'll be doing? (Essential Duties)
- Assist with personal care tasks such as showering, toileting, and dressing.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills.
- Collaborate in the completion of care plans, risk assessments, reviews, and incident & accident reporting.
- Provide support for the client's daily routines and activities.
- Facilitate community access and engagement.
- Participate in both inhouse and external activities.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Comfortably interact with pets, including dogs.
Support Worker needs to have:
- Current relevant qualification (Certificate III or IV in Disability)
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Eligibility to Work in Australia
- Valid Driver's License
- Comprehensive Car Insurance
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- COVID19 Vaccination Certificate (3 shots required)
- Infection Control Training Certificate
- Working With Children Certificate
- Police Check (Fit to work is acceptable)
- Manual Handling Certificate
- Medication Administration Certificate
- Epilepsy & Midazolam Training Certificate
