The Position
Position Title: 2023 Palliative Care Medicine Registrar

Classification:
HM25 to HM30

Salary per hour (exc. super): as per award

Hours per fortnight: 86

Employment Status: 1 x full time 6 month Registrar position commencing from August 2023

Other requirements:
COVID-19 Vaccination

Role Description
This six month funded diploma position designed for physicians who wish to gain experience in the specialty.

It would be an expectation that the post holder would work towards the diploma in palliative medicine with the Royal College of Physicians and the post holder will be released to attend the advanced trainee's education program in Melbourne.


  • Experience will be gained in the following:
  • Management of specialist palliative medicine inpatients
  • Palliative medicine outpatient clinics
  • Hospital inreach consultancy
  • Working alongside a specialist community nursing team
