Join Our Team as an Associate Midwife Unit Manager (AMUM) at Thomson Unit

Be part of the Gippsland-based team at Latrobe Regional Health and contribute as an Associate Midwife Unit Manager in our Women's, Children, and Birthing Unit on a part-time, ongoing basis.

Exciting developments are underway in the Women's and Children's Services at LRH, including the expansion of our hospital facilities to accommodate additional Birth suites, maternity inpatient beds, a 24/7 Pregnancy Assessment Unit, and a SCN for up to 12 babies. We are also implementing innovative midwifery models of care such as Maternity Group Practice (MGP) to enhance our services.

If you're passionate about women's and babies' health, we want you to lead our Midwifery team as an AMUM. Collaborate closely with the Midwife Unit Manager to oversee the clinical and administrative aspects of the Maternity Unit, ensuring top-notch patient outcomes. Your role will involve managing daily workloads, nurturing relationships with various team members, and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience
  • RANZCOG - Fetal Surveillance Education Program (FSEP)
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to handle obstetric emergencies and neonatal resuscitation
