What you'll be doing:

This is a great permanent full time opportunity to join the Domestic Services Team as a Hospital Assistant, located at our iconic Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital.


This imperative hospital role will see you provide a safe hygienic environment for patients, staff and their visitors and to perform all tasks comfortably using manual handling techniques.


Your role will see you store stock & chemicals appropriately in locked cupboards and comply with Waste and Recycling Management Procedures Policy.

Selection criteria to be addressed:

  • Knowledge and experience of hospital or commercial cleaning procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, with all levels of staff, as well as patients and members of the public.
  • Ability to take the initiative and respond to changes in cleaning requirements with demonstrated ability & capacity to work independently and as part of a team with a commitment to customer service.
  • Demonstrated experience in cleaning using machines, microfiber resources and techniques for its use provided by hospital.
  • Knowledge of Infection Control procedures for cleaning.
  • An understanding of Work Place Safety (WH&S), Manual Handling and Equal Opportunity practices in the work place.
