The High Support Needs Centres for Learning are set at Xavier College, Llandilo, St Patrick's Marist College, Dundas, and St Luke's Arrunga School, providing students with an alternate platform for learning. Through a focus on learning and wellbeing, our centres offer tailored programs and support for children with high support needs.

About the opportunity:

We are currently looking for motivated School Support Officers - High Support Needs (HSN) to enhance student learning outcomes. The work location may vary based on emerging needs.

The School Support Officer - HSN is responsible for:

  • Providing timetabled support and supervision of students
  • Implementing specific skill training and/or reinforcement of skills
  • Supporting the Personalised Learning Plan process
  • Developing resources for special purposes

About you:

  • Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance
  • Prior experience working with vulnerable students
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships with students and foster an inclusive learning environment

If you are interested, please note that this role involves working with children and entails employment screening. Candidates must have a National Police Check, valid Working with Children Check, and adhere to CSPD's Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct.
