About the Role

  • Based at either of our Adelaide or Brisbane CBD offices, this position primarily manages all aspects of People Logistics and mobilisation for all Santos divisions, in a way that manages risk and optimises value to contribute to Santos' competitive advantage and meets overall business objectives. It operates line with company values and in accordance with the Santos Management System.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Developing strategy and delivering capability and functional improvement plans in area of operations
  • Ensuring all elements of travel and personnel logistics are seamlessly and consistently performing across all sites, by interrogating and improving:
  • Governance and assurance programs
  • Policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Process maps
  • Technology systems
  • Contracts and supplier performance
  • Identifying, managing and mitigating all risks associated with the mobilisation of personnel including forecasting of travel and accommodation requirements
  • Being the business process owner (BPO) for the safe and secure mobilisation of all workers to operational sites in line with approvals, security, medical, IAP, logistics service capacity limits
  • Leading and coaching best practice travel coordination across Offshore, Onshore and PNG operations
  • Driving exceptional outcomes through improvement programs linked to KPI, business process and contractor performance.

About You

  • You will ideally be experienced in:
  • Managing a large travel team who are coordinating people logistics to remote operations using multi modal transport services
  • Influencing and delivering changes that lead to strategic improvements and initiatives, ideally within a project and/or change management framework
  • Business process engineering
  • People and resource planning and scheduling
  • International travel requirements and regulations


Ideally, you will be degree qualified in supply chain or an associated discipline, or demonstrate significant training and experience within directly relevant role(s), within large corporate environments.
