In this position, you will collaborate with the Mine Engineering & Geology team as a Mining Engineer, located in either the Brisbane or Perth office.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct mine optimization, design, scheduling, equipment selection, operating and capital cost estimates for open pit and/or underground mines.
  • Execute technical tasks to support due diligence reviews for mergers and acquisitions under the guidance of senior mining engineers.
  • Aid in the development of tenders, proposals, and reports for clients.
  • Collaborate with mining engineers, resource geologists, and specialists from various departments and locations within WSP.
  • Travel nationally and internationally as needed to support project tasks.
  • Lead in safety protocols by identifying and addressing high-priority safety risks.

Your Profile:

  • Accumulate up to 10 years of pertinent experience.
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in mine planning software such as Deswik, Vulcan, Surpac, and other applicable mining tools.
  • Possess experience in open pit and/or underground projects, preferably in a consultancy setting.
  • Showcase excellent communication, report writing, analytical, and problems-solving skills.
