As the Insurance Team Leader, you are responsible for providing effective leadership and practical hands on experience to support the administration of retail and group insurance cover. Enable the effective delivery and improvement of insurance related processes. Build a team culture that supports the delivery of effective insurance outcomes for members.

Some of the awesome things you'll be involved with:

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the retail and group insurance function.
  • Lead the insurance team to develop and maintain operational processes, documentation, and business rules to ensure the effective delivery of insurance related services within SLA.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements related to the administration of both group and retail insurance policies.
  • Actively contribute and drive effective resolution of insurance related complaints, and incidents.
  • Provide guidance on process improvement and uplift to operational efficiencies.
  • Support user acceptance testing of system enhancements and insurance product onboarding.
  • Apply industry, policy and product design knowledge to ensure alignment of policy and system configuration.
  • Assist in the compilation of regular reports on the status and adherence to relevant service level agreements internally.

What you will bring:

  • 3 to 5 years experience in managing teams in an insurance administration environment or similar industry.
  • Formal qualifications in superannuation or related industry eg RG 146.
  • Practical experience with superannuation technology systems. Experience in Acurity will be highly regarded.
  • Strong practical experience and high level of technical competence of insurance administration.
  • Understanding of the applicable regulatory obligations and frameworks.
  • Ability to investigate and resolve problems with a member focussed approach.
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills.
  • Ability to build relationships both internally and externally.
  • Track record of successful delivery, meeting deadlines with accuracy and quality.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to convey complex ideas.
  • A strong commitment to delivering quality service to clients.
