About the company

About the role
Due to the company securing new projects, they are looking for skilled Contract Administrators to join their construction team. You will report to the Construction Manager and play a key role in managing and coordinating projects while ensuring they are within budget, timeline, and scope. Collaboration with site and project teams is essential for success in this position.
Key responsibilities
- Head contract administration, including claims, variations, EOTs, and RFIs.
- Subcontract administration, including claim assessment and variations.
- Preparing documentation for subcontractor and supplier procurement, such as tender and pricing schedules.
- Conducting tender analysis and providing recommendations.
- Negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Producing financial information to effectively manage construction budgets.
- Liaising with site staff and monitoring project progress.
- Offering regular project status updates to the Construction Manager.
- Preparing quantities and take off as needed.
Skills and experience:
Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
· Tertiary qualifications in Building, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or related fields
- Thorough knowledge of contracts
- Strong negotiation skills
- Ability to interpret design documents
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Innovative and flexible in problem-solving
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Extensive experience in tender processes and trade procurement
- Construction industry induction card
