Administration Support Business Medical Traineeship

Maxima is on the lookout for customer service superstars to begin their career within the medical industry through a traineeship.

Multiple fulltime opportunities are on offer within the CBD and City Fringe.


Across 18-months you will be provided with practical experience alongside experienced supervisors and paid study time towards achieving a nationally recognised
Certificate III in Business.


These traineeships are extremely diverse, offering you task variety and the ability to build on your skill set. Upon completion you could progress into various roles including a receptionist, records clerk, patients' officer, management positions and more. There may be opportunities available for permanent roles with our host employers upon successful completion of the traineeship.

Duties include:

  • Welcome patients and visitors
  • Create and update patient records
  • Answer incoming telephone calls on a busy switchboard
  • Process patient admission and discharges
  • Data entry and document management (scanning and filing)

About You:

  • Ability to build rapport with a variety of individuals
  • Showcases initiative and problemsolving skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Remains calm when working under pressure
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

Role Requirements:

  • Ability to work between 6:30am and 9:00pm
  • Current COVID19 vaccinations or willing to obtain (2 doses)
  • Reliable transport
  • Previous customer service experience (desirable)
