The role

The role is to lead the Business Intelligence team and provide hands on experience in Business Intelligence.

You will assist Kindred support the KRP and KSP products to achieve all objectives in developing and maintaining world class reporting suite.

The role will take on the coordination of the reporting and analytic aspects of the racing and sports platform across the group.

What you will do

  • Lead the Business Intelligence team (Team of three including lead)
  • Write SQL queries to facilitate data extraction and manipulation
  • Develop BI reports and dashboards to assist commercial and product managers on their day to day activities
  • Perform post implementation reviews to assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns
  • Provide high quality advice and timely support to the Australian Information Technology Team and the Australian business
  • Be responsive and customer oriented in all communications and to form strong relationships across the company.
  • Maintain the reporting framework, automate reports and dashboards wherever possible and constantly review and improve existing report
  • Conduct strategic piece of analytical work for example VIP flagging, customer portfolio review etc.
  • Ad hoc data extraction, manipulation & analysis for the purpose of insights and recommendations.
Your experience

Essential Education and/or Training

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related discipline (preferred)
Preferred experience and knowledge

  • Minimum 5 years experience in delivering data visualisations, writing complex SQL queries
  • Demonstrated experience in Power BI
  • SQL or any database knowledge
  • Python is advantageous but not mandatory
Technical and Functional experience

  • Experience with agile development methodologies including Kanban and Scrum Flexible, resilient, committed, passionate and able to work cooperatively.
  • Ability to cope with competing demands and remain focused with competing priorities.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to relate to employees at all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to gain cooperation and commitment and work with remote teams
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office
