Cancer and Neurosciences Division
The Cancer and Neurosciences Division is one of four divisions within the Acute Operations Directorate of Austin Health.

The Division's clinical services operate across all three Austin Health campuses and Grampians Health Services (GH) within the Ballarat Regional Integrated Cancer Centre (BRICC) and comprise a complex range of national, state-wide organisational wide and specialty clinical services.


About the role


This position is based in the ONJ Cancer Centre Day Oncology department to provide all administrative support to the Day Oncology Unit including the Nurse Unit Manager, Care Co-ordinator, Clinical Nurse Consultants and medical staff however mainly the Patient Flow Nurse Co-Ordinator.

This role will undertake and be responsible for all administrative tasks involved in the business operations of this service.

A regular day will see you:

  • Ensure accurate registration of bookings, admissions, discharges and clinic appointments in hospital computer systems including Web Scheduler, Trakcare and Cerner Oncology
  • Support the Nurse Coordinator with coordinating patient bookings in hospital computer systems
  • Book and register follow up appointments for patients using hospital Trakcare system
