ABOUT THE ROLE
Key responsibilities

  • Prepare designs for civil engineering projects using 12D, AutoCAD and other relevant software
  • Prepare detailed drawings for civil works projects
  • Produce designs and design documentation
  • Supervise, train and mentor trainee and junior designers, and drafters
  • Assist in updates to the standards
  • Maintain register of design issues for projects
  • Issue drawings and documents as directed by Project Manager

ABOUT YOU

  • Ideally 5 years' experience of design work in addition to 2 years of delivering drafting on civil projects
  • Previous local consultancy work with a land development background
  • TAFE Qualification or relevant course desirable.
  • Some building civil & road design & drafting experience desirable
  • Excellent 12D and AutoCAD skills
  • MUSIC and DRAINS skills preferred, not essential
  • Understanding of local government and statuary requirements
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Motivation, enthusiasm and initiative
  • Excellent time management, ability to manage multiple deadlines whilst working autonomously
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication
