An opportunity has arisen for a part-time (0.5FTE) suitably experienced and motivated Research Officer to join one of the existing research projects in the School of Arts and Humanities: the ECU node of the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child.


Applicants will be expected to have:

Completion of a relevant degree OR equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training, or professional accreditation.


1-5 years' experience in a relevant discipline area with previous experience undertaking research ideally with qualitative and systematic review skills.

Eligibility to hold a Working with Children (WWC) Check card.

Demonstrated ability to contribute to research outcomes including journal articles, conference papers and book chapters.


Experience of recruiting participants and/or a track record of research with children and their families, and/or transcript analysis is advantageous.


You will also demonstrate personal attributes that are congruent with the University's values of Integrity, Respect, Rational Inquiry, Personal Excellence and Courage.

Benefits and Remuneration

This part-time, 2-year fixed-term position attracts remuneration of $78,854 to $87,624 pa (HEW 5) (pro rata for part-time) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
