Job Description: Seeking a Dynamic Solution Architect

This role is crucial in developing architectural designs that align with our strategic goals. As a Solution Architect, you will have a significant impact on shaping our technological landscape for the future.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Interpret Business Needs:
    • Translate business and technical requirements into architectural blueprints and non-functional necessities such as availability and security.
    • Create solution architectures that align with our Technology Strategies, including API and Cloud solutions.
    • Collaborate with product owners to build strong architectural foundations for future business needs.
    • Integrate business drivers into enterprise designs for optimal outcomes.
    • Example Deliverables: Requirements document, business process diagrams.
  2. Assess Technology:
    • Evaluate our current technology landscape and address any deficiencies.
    • Stay informed about industry trends and adapt to technological advancements.
    • Support strategic decision-making for technology upgrades and replacements.
    • Analyze market trends to adjust our technological direction proactively.
    • Example Deliverables: Current state architecture documentation, vendor assessments, technology lifecycle plans.
  3. Apply Technology:
    • Lead the design and implementation of solution architectures for various technologies.
    • Develop a roadmap for the evolution of our enterprise solutions.
    • Provide guidance on technology alignment and standards.
    • Collaborate with Domain Leads for effective execution of architectural plans.
    • Example Deliverables: Solution architecture designs, target state architecture.
  4. Provide Enterprise Guidance:
    • Develop standards and architectural designs to ensure compliance with enterprise guidelines.
    • Facilitate alignment between agile squads and enterprise architecture.
    • Define governance activities for solution architecture assurance.
    • Example Deliverables: Solution scorecard, reference architecture components.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

Essential:

  • Advanced knowledge of Financial Systems, payment platforms, and transaction processing systems.
  • Ability to define IT architectures and solutions and gain stakeholder agreement.
  • Experience in API Lifecycle Management and AWS Cloud Services.
  • Project management skills within Agile and Waterfall environments.
  • Technical acumen in AWS services, Security, and infrastructure.

Desirable:

  • Experience in payment environments and software development.
