About the role:


The Clinical Superintendent is a key person who works closely with all members of staff, in particular the Deputy Director Medical Services, Executive Director of Medical services, Basic Physician Training team, Medical Workforce Unit, and Health information services.


POSITION PURPOSEInvolvement with management of Basic Physician trainees across at St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney.
Developing strong working relationships with stakeholders in teaching and training, medical workforce, and hospital administrations.
Developing strong working relationships with health information services teamAct as Medical Coding Lead within the medical services governance structureLeadership role within medical directorate, involved in JMO management and supervision as determined by the executive director of medical services

Selection Criteria:


Possess, or be eligible to possess, specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA);Possess Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent.

Demonstrated commitment to teaching at specialty registrar, junior medical officer and undergraduate levels;Demonstrated superior organizational skills and the ability to coordinate and develop a strong teaching program through to examination stage;Demonstrated superior interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholdersDemonstrated understanding of hospital funding models and approach to optimization of activity captureDemonstrated participation in clinical coding optimization in the hospitalPersonal integrity and demonstrated commitment to the Philosophy, Mission and Values of Mary Aikenhead Ministries
