An award-winning aboriginal agency is seeking a Registered Psychologist, with a devotion to making a difference. Work within and lead an impressive team of experienced Clinicians, alongside a multi-disciplinary team, where the best outcomes for Aboriginal Children and Adolescent's are consistently achieved.

This role will involve;

  • Leading a small team of 5 Clinicians
  • Conduct psychological, emotional and cognitive assessments on children and young people
  • Utilise an evidence-based approach to provide counselling and therapy to children and young people who are associated with the OOHC program.
  • Production of Behaviour Support Management Plans in accordance with the OOHC Standards. This includes comprehensive and holistic assessment and delivering Behavioural modifications to carers in a respectful and collaborative manner.
  • Provide counselling and therapy to children, young people and adults who are associated with the OOHC and early intervention/family preservation programs utilising an evidence-based approach.
  • Develop as necessary and provide psycho-education training to foster carers and potential carers with a particular focus on attachment, trauma and the positive behaviour management of children and young people.

Requirements;

  • AHPRA Registration: General; ideally with experience with Aboriginal Caseloads
  • Unrestricted drivers license and willingness to drive
  • Experience in OOHC and varied psychology theoretical and therapeutic frameworks
  • Awareness of the issues affecting Aboriginal communities, families and children

Additional Information

  • Several probity checks will be required, including holding a current Working with Children and undertaking a National Police Check
