About Us:


Victoria University (VU) is the University of the West and its TAFE division, Victoria University Polytechnic delivers accredited courses, apprenticeships, traineeships and customised training programs that link closely with industry.

The Cyber Security and Information Technology courses are delivered at our Nicholson Street Footscray, St Albans and Sunshine campuses as well as fully-online.

Victoria University Polytechnic are looking for enthusiastic TAFE teachers to join the team.

Teachers with current industry experience in either cyber security, IT support, systems administration, web development, electronic games development or a related field are strongly encouraged to apply.


About the Roles:


As a Sessional Teacher you will be delivering the training and assessment of Certificate IV in Cyber Security or Certificate II and Certificate III of Information Technology.

Delivery of the units will be primarily at our Footscray Nicholson campus but some opportunities for online delivery remotely may be available

An example of duties you may perform will include:

  • Teaching across multiple units within the Certificate IV of Cyber Security qualification
  • Assessing and reporting of student learning outcomes
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress in the University's learning management and student records systems.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Must hold relevant VET and/or tertiary qualification/s, a TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or TAE40110 with required upskill units TAEASS502 and TAELLN411 or TAELLN401A.
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Demonstrated knowledge/experience of teaching in a tertiary sector relevant to the discipline being advertised.
  • Experience teaching within the VCAL (VCE/M) system is desirable but not required.
