System Support Officer

Eden Ritchie is seeking a System Support Officer to act as the first point of contact that delivers high quality customer service and technical support to internal and external stakeholders in the use of SORD (School Online Reporting Dashboard), whilst enhancing their capability and understanding of SORD reporting products, and possess the ability to identify and resolve system related problems.

  • 10 month contract with possible 12 months extension
  • Brisbane CBD location

As the System Support Officer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide timely advice and support to customers by resolving requests related to access requirements, troubleshooting, best practice processes, report functionality etc. by investigating issues, developing appropriate responses or guidelines, and reassigning or escalating requests as appropriate.
  • Ensure that all incidents received are recorded, categorised and prioritised and referred to staff where appropriate by scheduling and actively monitoring incidents to ensure effective response and restoration times are achieved.
  • Monitor, manage and prioritise delegated tasks and reporting on progress to the team and management.
  • Maintaining the team knowledge base, including responding to customer feedback and updating knowledge to improve available information and support self-service where appropriate.
  • Support the team by contributing to the development of learning resources, comprehensive procedures and processes.
  • Participate in testing activities to enhance existing reports and the development of new reports.
  • Support the team in maintaining accuracy, reliability and security of data required for analytical and reporting purposes.
  • Undertake operational and administrative activities to support the team.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders in schools, regions and central office teams.
  • Contribute to a cohesive team environment by sharing information, supporting and assisting colleagues in a proactive manner, including resolving issues or providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and support team initiatives and members.

Experience and skills:

  • Has the ability to apply information technology skills to solve technical and application problems.
  • Has experience using Power BI reports and a good understanding of business intelligence and data analytics.
  • Experience in providing excellent customer service within the field of Information Technology, Business Intelligence, and Data Analytics.
  • Proven ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with staff at all levels within and external to the department.
  • Has capacity to establish and maintain working relationship within various internal and external stakeholders, supporting a strong customer service focus for the team and branch.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills and ability to co-ordinate multiple tasks within agreed priorities, timeframes, and accountabilities.
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Undertake operational and administrative activities to support the team.
  • Ability to self-manage and work autonomously.
