Position Description
Volvo Group Australia has an opening for a Logistics Technicians to join the logistics team at Group Truck Operations.
This role will be offered as a full-time, permeant basis.

You will work closely with the Logistics Engineering Manager and the broader Logistics and production Teams to support Production schedules are maintained.

The primary purpose of the role is to work in conjunction with the Warehouse to provide Production area support and contribute towards meeting logistics targets whilst ensuring the Volvo core values of Quality, Safety and Environment are understood and represented includin

g:

  • Carry out Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to drive continuous improvement in your area
  • Assess daily material issues / requirements for line delivery within your area
  • Foresee and overcome any obstacles, problems affecting or interrupting the material delivery
  • Ensure all material delivery operations are carried out in an efficient and accurate manner
  • Ensure all parts shortages from your area are controlled and reported before moving any items to another area
  • Update relevant reports and feed back to team all issues at team meetings
  • Provide Logistics/Warehouse support in an assigned Production Improvement Area Team/s
  • Monitor, investigate and follow up on pick shortages and missing part issues e

  • Provide accurate and timely feedback to all stakeholders
  • Liaise effectively with other teams as required
  • Promote the "Volvo Way" as our way of working
  • Secure the "Volvo Production Systems" implementation into your area
  • Participate in continuous improvement and drive VPS principles in daily work
  • Support and promote the implementation of 5S
  • This position is offered under the terms and conditions of the WACOL Enterprise Agreement
