Eden Ritchie is seeking an Executive Officer to provide high quality, confidential, executive administrative and secretariat support to the Executive Director (ED) and coordinates activities across the office.

You will also support the Department's commitment to create thriving communities.

As the Executive Officer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assist the Department to achieve its' vision through a performance driven and customer focused culture that delivers results, whilst displaying the core public sector values of customers first; ideas into action; unleash potential; be courageous and empower people
  • Coordinate the flow of ministerial and executive correspondence and briefing requests for the Office of the Executive Director
  • Review and quality assure a range of written materials including correspondence, briefing material, and information papers
  • Assist with the preparation of ministerial and executive correspondence and briefing notes
  • Manage and coordinate the correspondence tracking system to ensure deadlines are met
  • Identify, develop, and implement executive support procedures
  • Support the OED team with the coordination and flow of ministerial and executive correspondence and briefing requests through the office's shared mailbox including determining priority, initiating action, and preparing correspondence
  • Manage and coordinate the correspondence tracking system to ensure deadlines are met
  • Identify emerging issues and trends within Community Recovery and escalate concerns to the ED
  • Consult and negotiate with key stakeholders to resolve any matters as requested by the ED
  • Travel arrangements including itineraries, travel bookings, accommodation, and expense claims
  • Monitor and screen incoming telephone calls and assist with or redirect where appropriate
  • Undertake tasks allocated by the ED
  • Demonstrate ethical behaviour, professional growth, and continuous improvement
  • Assist in the development of staff communications
