About the Team


The Operations and Housing Support Branch plays a pivotal role in bolstering the planning network by implementing essential initiatives and projects.

These efforts aim to enrich the network's capacity and proficiency in engaging effectively with participants.

The branch empowers front-line service personnel to meet targets, offers strategic guidance on process delivery, and spearheads continuous enhancement endeavors.


About the Role


We are seeking an APS5 Planner to undertake pivotal planning activities and tasks utilizing available information, especially in situations where options might not be readily apparent.

The role involves carrying out procedural, clerical, administrative, and operational functions that align with and contribute to our overarching objectives.

This role involves active participation in a collaborative team environment.

When necessary, the incumbent will take on tasks associated with team leadership, which involves prioritizing assignments and delegating responsibilities to other team members.

The APS5 Planner will engage significantly with both internal and external stakeholders.

Effective communication and advisory skills will be pivotal as they address a variety of service-related matters, working to resolve inquiries ranging from moderately complex to intricate.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating with team leadership to manage workflow effectively.
  • Collecting pertinent information from participants, their representatives, planning partners, and multiple stakeholders. This data gathering process is vital for informed decisionmaking and highquality planning.
  • Identifying funded supports to complement informal and formal assistance in participant plans.
  • Close collaboration with participants and their representatives to pinpoint existing and future support needs, along with options from informal, mainstream, and community avenues, all geared towards achieving plan objectives.
  • Resolving concerns and grievances related to participant plans.
  • Executing administrative and data entry tasks linked to participant records and task workflows.
  • Contributing to key performance indicators, including planning targets, in a meaningful way.

About you:

  • You will have a strong servicedelivery background, ideally in a Government Department / Notfor profit in a similar role.
  • It is highly desirable that applicants have an understanding of or lived experience in the field of disability.
  • Have a positive contemporary attitude to people with disability along with an understanding and knowledge of disability and its impact on individuals
  • Have adaptable communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to manage confidential and sensitive information
  • Be flexible and able to adapt to a changing environment
  • Have high levels of integrity and professionalism to support our values and mission.

  • These are 12 month assignments offering hourly rate of $ super. Positions are based in brisbane CBD with up to 2 days per week WFH flexibility following training._
