Gold Coast Light Rail has revolutionized public transportation in the city, creating a unified network that enhances connectivity for residents in one of Australia's most vibrant and rapidly expanding urban areas.

John Holland has been chosen as the design and construction partner for GCLR3, an initiative to extend the current light rail network by 6.7 kilometers from Broadbeach to Burleigh Heads. This extension includes the construction of eight new light rail stations, two light rail-bus connections, and upgrades to intersections along the route.

Funded jointly by the Australian and Queensland governments, as well as the City of Gold Coast, this project will play a crucial role in connecting communities with commercial hubs, retail areas, dining spots, educational institutions, and healthcare facilities to accommodate the city's projected population growth in the upcoming years.

As the GCLR3 construction progresses, John Holland is actively seeking a skilled and motivated Supervisor to join the team and contribute significantly to the successful completion of this landmark project.

• Lead health, safety, and environmental management practices
• Oversee and coordinate the activities of multiple teams and subcontractors
• Contribute to the development of work methods and construction schedules, ensuring daily and weekly production targets are met
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders through effective communication
• Prepare progress reports and shift handover documentation
• Ensure adherence to financial budgets and commercial requirements
• Collaborate with the project team to achieve set targets
• Review design documents, provide constructive feedback, and ensure accurate implementation of final designs
• Engage in regular consultations with worker representatives on safety and industrial matters

• Hold a Trade Qualification or possess relevant industry experience
• Minimum of 5 years of construction experience in a similar role
• Extensive background in Trades and Construction
• Proficient in reviewing design documents, understanding drawings, and executing final design plans
