We are searching for a proactive professional with exciting opportunities for the ideal candidate to kick off promptly in Adelaide with some on-site travel required to the Upper Spencer Gulf.

ammjohn, a versatile engineering company, offers a comprehensive service that covers the entire project life cycle, from pre-feasibility and construction to commissioning, asset maintenance, and optimization.

ammjohn is in search of a skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. Mechanical or similar qualifications will be taken into consideration.

Key responsibilities:

  • Development of project scopes, budgets, ensuring alignment among project stakeholders.
  • Creation of project schedules.
  • Supervision of project deliverables and outcomes.
  • Assigning tasks to engineers, drafters, or subcontractors.
  • Development and assessment of datasheets, technical specifications, and standards.
  • Creation and evaluation of engineering drawings, such as P&IDs, layouts, isometrics, and structural designs.
  • Management of project budgets, client orders, invoices, and scope adjustments.
  • Primary client interface and main point of contact.
  • Managing client expectations and deliverables and distributing them to the team for execution.
  • Collaborating with external engineering contractors, steering front-end and detailed engineering.
  • Participating in and facilitating design workshops, HAZOP, HAZID, and LOPA workshops.
  • Overseeing document control, design, tender, and construction processes.
  • Ensuring projects align with client specifications, International and Australian Standards.
  • Progress reporting.

The following qualifications are highly valued:

  • 5+ years of project management experience (mandatory).
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar relevant field.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in the MS suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise large, multidisciplinary projects.
  • Thorough understanding and application of Occupational Health and Safety practices.
