This opportunity sits within a fantastic business in the Aged Care sector whose mission and every decision is made with the resident at its centre.

In an industry challenged by continual legislative change, heavy compliance requirements and always vulnerable to environmental factors (e.g covid pandemics), we are looking for a highly capable and confident CFO capable of navigating these waters.


Your remit as CFO:


Reporting to the CEO as a critical member of the executive leadership team, you will be responsible for positioning finance as a true business partner, so the company can better achieve its strategic objectives and mission of serving Australia's ageing community.

Aside from what you would expect of a CFO, you will be tasked to:

Help assess the current state of finance and strengthen its delivery and reputation;
Drive finance transformation to complement a broader organisational transformation;
Provide strategic input to the board from a finance lens (and navigate what is a very active board);
Strengthen treasury management (operationally and strategically);
Respond to changing funding regimes and drive the necessary changes internally;
Assist in corporate development initiatives - due diligence, modelling, integration etc;
Drive long-term planning and forecasting and cash flow projections; and

Closely monitor the legislative and compliance landscape to ensure adherence to an ever-evolving framework.

Your background:

To find a pathway to success with this particular role, you will meet the following criteria:
Experienced strategic finance leader who has worked at a CFO level and is experienced in dealing with an active board;
Sector experience in aged care or the broader healthcare space;
Someone who can demonstrate successfully leading financial and cultural transformation;
A strategic thinker who can provide solutions for not only the challenges of today but foresee and address potential; future challenges;
Someone with an 'executive presence that inspires confidence across the business;
A values-driven leader who will put the mission of the business front and centre; and


Someone who is happy to park the ego at the door and create a collaborative finance function that functions like a community.
