Purpose of the role


The Pacific Finance team is responsible for providing first class finance support to the Pacific Business including cost control, budgeting & forecasting and monthly variance analysis.

The team provides finance support for most departments, including Sales, Marketing and Product/Content teams.

The Business/Finance Analyst works alongside the Pacific Finance team to ensure the accuracy of financial forecasting within the LN Pacific Business to allow the business to make better data-driven decisions.

The position reports to the Senior Commercial Finance Manager and provides support to the Pacific Senior Leadership team (including the Pacific in market teams, APAC Strategy and Finance, Global FP&A).

Key skills and experience

  • Tertiary Level Education (Accounting)
  • Handson Accounting Experience (35 years' work experience in FP&A/Management Accounting)
  • Strong Excel skills with exposure to PBI, GCRM, Tableau tools
  • Proactive team player collaborative work approach must be accountable, responsible, and organized
  • Sharp organisational skills with ability to multitask and manage multiple projects
  • Ability to perform essential duties with efficiency and accuracy
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Key Result Areas

Monthly Analysis and Reporting

  • Review of monthly rev and billings and provide clear instructions to offshore accounting team on rev recognition for relevant business areas
  • Responsible for timely month end reporting including variance analysis and preparation of monthly summaries for business.
  • Key Liaison between the local business and the offshore GFSS accounting team on accounting queries
  • Respond to various adhoc local and global reporting requirements
Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Support Finance team with preparation of Budget and Forecast Rev/Metrics/Reconciliation/Capital & projects including preparation of system Reports and capital Trackers for reviews.
  • Responsible for input of forecast and budget data in forecasting system (Hyperion)
  • Provide explanations for variances vs Prior Year and Prior cycle for assigned accounts.
  • Assistance with Budget and Forecast corporate reporting templates as required
Stakeholder support

  • Work closely with relevant business vertical to support midmonth and month end financial outcome analysis in rev and billings, provide weekly snapshots and liaise with wider business stakeholders on reporting requirements
  • Ad hoc queries and involvement in change projects as need arises
Other Areas

  • Support offshore accounting team with queries from External Auditors
  • Work closely with other finance team member assisting in Hyperion maintenance and monthly tasks
