Our client is seeking a highly motivated and talented Aboriginal People Risk Analyst to join our team. As a Risk Analyst, you will play a vital role in identifying and mitigating risks related to suspicious or fraudulent activities. You will be responsible for handling inbound queries from various sources, gathering relevant information, and providing recommendations to the relevant business unit. This role requires excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders.

**Responsibilities**:

- Handle inbound queries raised by our Monitoring Programming tool, branch network, and other internal stakeholders within the business.
- Gather relevant information to analyze and assess potential risks related to suspicious or fraudulent activity.
- Conduct thorough investigations into identified risks, utilizing available resources and tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather additional information and support risk assessment processes.
- Provide clear and concise recommendations to the relevant business unit based on your analysis.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of investigations and risk assessment activities.
- Stay updated on emerging fraud trends, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and suggest enhancements to existing risk management strategies.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and legal requirements while conducting risk analysis activities.

**Requirements**:

- Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander heritage, with a strong understanding of the unique cultural context and sensitivity to cultural protocols.
- Previous experience in a risk analysis or similar role is preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to gather, interpret, and evaluate data from multiple sources.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in risk assessment processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Familiarity with fraud detection systems and risk assessment tools is advantageous.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry best practices is desirable.
