Join us in supporting the maintenance contract for the Australian Defence Force to ensure operational readiness. We are in need of a Technical Supervisor to play a crucial role in maintaining Defence assets located at Steele Barracks in Moorebank, NSW. The role entails working from Monday to Thursday, 7 am to 3:45 pm, and on Fridays from 7 am to 12 pm.

Australian citizenship and the ability to obtain Defence Security Clearance are prerequisites.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise tradespeople to achieve maintenance goals related to performance, quality, compliance, and safety.
  • Team building, technical support provision, and identification of training needs.
  • Effective allocation of Maintenance tasks.
  • Coordination and prioritization of maintenance workflows for a team of up to 10 trades, collaborating closely with the Site Manager and Planning team.
  • Integration into a unified team, both within the Region and with the Commonwealth
  • Leadership and support for the development and training of technical staff, including training needs assessment and reporting to the Site Manager.

Desired qualifications:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in maintenance team management, technical investigations, quality audits, and technical inspections.
  • Fitter knowledge and relevant experience preferred.
  • Advantageous experience with MILIS/SAP.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to coach and lead teams.
  • Possession of a current Australian open driver's license for C class vehicles (manual).
