LIFEGUARD & DUTY SUPERVISOR
**FULL-TIME AND CASUAL POSITIONS AVAILABLE
Cranbrook School is seeking experienced and energetic Pool Lifeguards and Duty
Supervisors to join our brand new, state of the art Aquatic & Fitness Centre (AFC)
located at the Senior School campus in Bellevue Hill.

ABOUT THE POSITION
Pool Lifeguards and Duty Supervisors ensure the safety of all users of the Aquatic &
Fitness Centre by facilitating the operation and supervision of the aquatic facilities.

These positions supervise the pool at all times, respond to emergency situations,
perform water rescues and provide first aid when required.

They also have responsibility for conducting safety and equipment inspections and pool
testing and coordinating set up/pack down each day.

Full-time and casual Lifeguard positions and casual Duty Supervisor positions are available.

ABOUT YOU
You are an experienced pool operations professional who is passionate about water
safety.

An excellent team member, you are adaptable and capable of working in a busy and
varied environment. You are a hands-on operator who is happy to do whatever is
required to ensure the safe and effective operation of the Aquatic & Fitness Centre.

You are a good communicator who is able to clearly convey important safety messages
to all pool users including staff, students and parents.

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Previous experience as a Pool Lifeguard or Duty Supervisor
  • Current Pool Lifeguard qualification or Aquatic Technical Operations Certificate
  • A level of mobility that supports the ability to respond to a first aid / behavioural
incident

  • Current First Aid and CPR qualifications
  • A firm commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • A demonstrated understanding of child safety and appropriate behaviours when
engaging with children.

AUSTSWIM qualifications, a Certificate III in Fitness and previous experience working in an
independent school would be advantageous.
The position will be paid significantly above the Award, at a level determined by skills and
