We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as Administration and Banking Officer. Our ideal Candidate will fill an integral role in our Finance Team within our Shared Resource Office. If you think this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you

Position Overview

The Administration and Banking officer role at Hutcheon and Pearce involves overseeing various financial and administrative processes, providing extensive guidance and training to staff, and ensuring smooth operations within the organisation.

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Performs daily bank account reconciliation.
  • Follows up and reconciles unknown deposits.
  • Assists branch staff with banking errors.
  • EFTPOS machine troubleshooting and providing training to branch staff.
  • Performs various account reconciliations including but not limited to PayWay, PayPal, unknowns.
  • Provides back up and assistance where needed with company credit card reconciliations
  • Back up Customer Service Officers
  • General Shared resource Office reception duties including general meet and greet of visitors to SRO and answering of the main phone
  • Assists Financial Controller when required with arranging motor vehicle financing.
  • Assists Supply Chain Manager with administration of motor vehicle fleet

The Ideal Candidate should have:

  • Excellent ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
  • Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups
  • Ability to create, analyse, and interpret internal reports.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Drive for process improvement
  • Excellent organisational and project facilitation skills
  • High School Certificate or equivalent experience

Desirable Qualities:

  • Accounting and reconciliation knowledge and capacity would be highly regarded.
  • Experience in administration department operations (benefit, but not essential).
  • Strong ability to work in a team
  • Drive for continuous improvement
