About the role

Queensland Rail have a new opportunity for a Production Worker to join the team at Ipswich that are responsible for maintenance and repairs to our Heritage Rollingstock.

You will be required to complete general maintenance tasks in the depot, support the trade staff when required and complete cleaning tasks.


Day-to-day responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Assist the tradespeople with everyday fitting and carriage building tasks
  • Cleaning jobs including the use of a steam cleaner
  • Assist with movement of carriages in Depot
  • Gathering rollingstock materials and preparing for work
  • Maintain computerbased maintenance/ depot records

About you

  • Previous experience in a labouring position
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
